The Jeannette Initiative’s Mini Grant Program

This grant program aims to enhance the City of Jeannette through diverse community-focused initiatives. Funding is available for educational activities, cultural enrichment programs hosted within the city, and efforts that support the physical and economic revitalization of the Jeannette Central Business District.

2025 Mini Grant Program Details

For 2025, The Jeannette Initiative has $3,000 available to award to IRS recognized 501c3 non-profit organizations. Proof of IRS designation is required by providing either a copy of the original IRS designation or a recent copy of the IRS affirmation letter.

Grants will be awarded in increments of up to $1,000 per applicant. At is sole discretion, the board of the Jeannette Initiative may award larger grant amounts if the application warrants such consideration. Entities that are 501c3 non-profits may apply if they have a 501c3 partner that is the lead organization in submitting a joint application. Applications such as these should detail the nature of the working relationship between the lead 501c3 applicant and the partnering organization, which may be another class of non-profit or private sector entity.

Non-profits requesting these funds may use them for any of the following purposes:

a) educational activities that positively impact the city of Jeannette

b) cultural enrichment activities held within the city of Jeannette

c) physical improvements within the city of Jeannette

d) economic improvement within the city of Jeannette

e) support for activities that enhance the understanding of the city and Jeannette’s socio-economic, life-style, environmental, and other related community profiles

Interested non-profits should review the program guidelines for greater explanation of eligible activities and those activities that will NOT be funded. All non-profits wishing to apply for a mini grant must submit an application with the required proof of IRS designation, budget page and any other supporting documentation by June 30, 2025.
